Wow, it has been a while......

I just realized that it has been WAY too long since anything has happened at the old Blog site. So here is a little update with a small tidbit of hope. The group is still together, though we are working on some unrelated projects for other companies, we are also working on one EOS project. We are hoping to have prototypes ready to show at Sea Otter coming up in a few months. So far we are on schedule for that to happen so keep watching this space for more frequent updates.

Well it has been an interesting ride

Sad to say, but the dream of getting our suspension company off the ground has crumbled apart. We weren't able to get funded, great idea and biz plan..... just the wrong time to look for money. I think if we had been a couple of months earlier when we started to look for funding, we would have been golden, but like so many companies, we got hit with the economic meltdown hammer. So what is next? you ask. We are all planning to do some consultation work of one sort or another for various companies for a while. We still have a great business plan and who knows a bit down the road when things pick up, we may take another shoot at it. I will still be posting tidbits of what I am up to on a semi irregular basis........

There are a lot of bikes.......

We have been doing market analysis on all the target bike companies for the last couple of weeks. I have come to the conclusion that there are a LOT of different bike models available in your local bike shop. It makes no difference what kind of riding you do or what you want to spend, there are multiple choices for you to consider.

So, a quick post to update what is happening. Our art guy finished up the logo and sent me the .ai files in both color and gray tones. I like the black and gray logos a lot and I think that I may get a couple of set together to put on the old Manitou forks in my personal collection.

I probably should be promoting my brand rather than someone elses even if we don't have forks yet. We are hoping that we can release drawings to the vendors soon.

So the fun starts today

So starts our adventure in to publically launching the new company, I am not sure how often this is going to get updated and what is going to ultimately happen here. My intial intention is to give you a look into what it takes to get a new suspension company off the ground and how the product evolves through the design process. Away we go:
